It's an intriguing question, and if you've been a student of personal growth for any length of time, you already know that the secret to the game of life is mindset. Mindset is everything because it's your mindset that frames all of your experiences and determines how you feel about them.
We recently watched the film Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. In the film, Dustin Hoffman plays Mr. Magorium and he offers this brilliant piece of advice:
"Your life is an occasion. Rise to it."
You'll be hard pressed to find a better motivational quote to illustrate the importance of mindset ... and more specifically of a winning mindset.
Do you remember to treat your life like the occasion it is? And are you willing to rise to the occasion? In order to rise to the occasion, what mindset do you require?
The secret to maintaining a winning attitude is to remember what life is really about. All of the tools, principles and techniques of personal development that we read about -- meditation, affirmations, journaling, etc. -- are ways of assisting you to connecting with that remembrance.
And when you remember that your life is an occasion, how can you not help but be inspired to rise to it?
