The Power of Team is the newest motivational book in the Wake Up ... Live The Life You Love series and I'm a co-author of the book, along with the likes of Dr. Wayne Dyer, Anthony Robbins, Bill Bartmann and Steven E.
One of the key messages of the book is that there is tremendous power to be leveraged by being a part of a team. In other words, "you need never be alone".
That's in fact the title of my contribution to The Power of Team, "You Need Never Be Alone".
Here's a video I put together of my article which appears in the book -- this will give you a strong flavor of the quality of the information you will find in The Power of Team.

The Power Of Team
I'd like to switch gears a little today and share a little about the power of team.
I'm a co-author of the upcoming book entitled The Power of Team. In addition to me, other contributing authors include Anthony Robbins, Wayne Dyer and Bill Bartman, amongst many others.
I'll be sharing more about the book over the coming weeks as its release approaches, but I've been reflecting on the importance of team lately and the fact that together, we can accomplish so much more than we ever could as individuals. It's by working as a team that our path to inspired abundance is most assured.
So I thought I'd share with you a fun video that I believe encompasses many of the virtues of team and absolutely demonstrates the power of team. Enjoy.

Feed Your Mind To Create A Wealthy Mindset
Are you feeding your mind with nutritious "brain food" that will help you create a wealthy mindset?
Given we're just into the new year, I see a lot of focus and attention on "tips" to help people keep their resolutions. Particularly related to losing weight, diet, and getting into shape.
Just today, as I skimmed the local newspaper, there was a full page article talking about the importance of good eating habits, planning and pre-portioning the foods you plan to eat today, ensuring you have healthy snacks available so you're less tempted to hit the nearest fast food stop, and becoming more aware of what you put into your body. It also talked about the importance of eating several small meals as opposed to fewer large meals.
That got me to thinking. Isn't it exactly the same when it comes to nurturing our minds?
We place so much focus and attention on what we should or shouldn't put into our bodies, but most of us place so little focus and attention on what messages we put into our minds.
From the constantly negative news, to the celebration of violence and gore so common in entertainment films, to the reality television and schlock programming, to the tabloids, to the complaining co-workers, even to much of the Internet -- we're literally swimming in a never ending onslaught of negative images and messages.
Is it any wonder most people do not have a wealthy mindset? Just as there's an epidemic of obesity in the world, so too there's an epidemic of poverty consciousness.
So why not take some of the weight loss advice and apply it to your mind?
Avoid negative, junk programming just like you'd avoid fast foods. Nurture your mind with frequent, empowering mini meals and healthy snacks by listening to some positive messages throughout the day. Play a CD by Tony Robbins, or Wayne Dyer, or Bob Proctor -- anything that will give you positive messages. Keep a journal handy.
Cultivate a discipline of thinking to strengthen and improve the health of your your mindset.
Most people will agree we are more than our bodies. So perhaps it's time to pay more attention to our mind. Do that for 30 days and see what begins to happen.

Book Review "The Power Of Intention" by Wayne Dyer
The Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne Dyer
For me, this book is an absolute pre-requisite for any serious student of self growth and personal development.
One of the lessons I find myself continuously being reminded of is to not let my ego get in the way of my being successful.
Like most of the people on this planet, I've been subjected to a lifetime worth of conditioning which leaves me predisposed to ego based thinking.
And yet it is the very same ego based thinking that leads to thoughts which don't serve me and which fuels the negative vibrations that they carry.
And of course, based on the Law of Attraction, it is positive vibration that I wish to be focused on generating at all times.
In his book "The Power of Intention", Dr. Wayne Dyer talks about this.
He talks about the need to let go of your ego in order to stay in alignment with the power of intention and more easily manifest into your experience that which you desire.
According to Dr. Dyer, ego is simply an idea you have about who you are that you carry around with you. This idea of who you think you are is an obstacle to your ability to connect with intention because it reinforces the notion that you are separate from everyone and everything in the world around you.
Of course, we already know this is not true.
We are all part of an interconnected system, consciousness, and life force; quantum physics proves this. Ego based thinking becomes an impediment to connecting with intention and letting it flow freely to you.
You become a “dis-allower” rather than an “allower”.
In his book, Dr. Dyer identifies 7 steps for overcoming the hold ego has on you:
If you already have read it, read it again.
You will find new meanings and perspectives that you can apply directly to your own personal development and success.

- Stop being offended. Being offended only leads to attack and counter attack. It in no way serves you.
- Let go of your need to win. There are no losers in a world that shares the same energy source. Ironically the less you pursue winning, the more you will win.
- Let go of your need to be right. Would you rather be right or happy?
- Let go of your need to be superior. This leads only to resentment and hostility.
- Let go of your need to have more. You live in a world of abundance and should focus on creating, attracting and then letting it go. It's in giving that you receive.
- Let go of identifying yourself on the basis of your achievements. Hold no attachment to the outcome since this is a negative attractor.
- Let go of your reputation. You have no control over how others think about you - it doesn't matter. All that matters is that you be true to your own intuition and integrity.
If you already have read it, read it again.
